Endless Sky - August 29, 2010
The first completed recording for my new CD is just about finished, and it sounds fantastic. But, in order to make the video that I would like to go along with the song, I need your help:
The song is called "Endless Sky," and the lyrics deal with the incredibly tough times that our country is going through, as well as the thought that the promise of the American dream may be eroding and slipping away from us. (I realize that doesn't sound very uplifting, but I think the job of a songwriter is to, at times, comment on and highlight problems in our society.) So, if you would like to help with this project, please send me pictures from your area of the country that you think represent this sentiment. The pictures can be of closed factories or stores, run-down infrastructure, foreclosed properties, etc. Or you can send me pictures that YOU think represent the state of America today. Just snap some pictures and send them to Steve@athinline.net.
Please include the city and state where each picture was taken. All pictures will be reviewed, and your name will be included at the end of the video if your picture is used. I want to get pictures from all around the country, so please feel free to post this message online for others to see, or to send it to...well, everyone that you've ever met in your life.
Thanks a lot, and you can reach me through Steve@athinline.net if you have any questions.
-Steve
